"A Taste of Carlingford"
Located in and around the Mediaeval Village of Carlingford.
A Taste of Carlingford
is a 2 day celebration of fine food and drink. Set in the idyllic
surroundings of the Mediaeval village of Carlingford, all the restaurants,
bars and café's will provide visitors to the village a taste
of the wonderful range of cuisine on offer, in a veritable market
place of little tents and stalls. Artisan food suppliers will provide
further treats and colour.
The hospitality
tent will feature such local delicacies as the famous Carlingford
Oyster washed down with a glass of Champagne. This will be an unparalleled
food and hospitality experience to thousands of visitors. Don't
miss this opportunity to indulge yourself.
Street entertainment
on both days. Pretty Pets Competition, Children's cookery competition,
maybe we have a Jamie Oliver in our midst

"Oyster Festival"
Carlingford's
famous Oyster Festival began in the early 80's to showcase the then
world famous Carlingford Oyster, this was held every year until
the late nineties. This festival was revived again and is now in
its 4th year, still celebrating the Oyster and now more of a family
oriented festival.
Two days of
Oysters galore, Oyster treasure hunt, world crab fishing, street
entertainment, wine reception, food markets and the famous Chowder
tasting, sponsored by all the local restaurants. Regatta on Carlingford
Lough, A new and very popular event "Teddy Bear's picnic"
Great entertainment for the children. Not to be missed.
